An Unexpected First For This Recent Amarillo Amazon Delivery

I am guilty of getting a lot of Amazon deliveries to my home in Amarillo. I do shop locally too but sometimes just the pure convenience of not having to run to the store when I need something specific is nice. So I am a fan of Amazon.

The one thing I liked about deliveries to my daughters place in Dallas is the picture proof. It was nice to see where the package was left. That was something that I never got with any of my deliveries here in Amarillo.

That was until last night. I had my alarm system start beeping because of a low battery alert in my motion detector. So when I took it down to replace it required a weird battery I have never in my life used before. I looked on the Walgreens app to see if they had them in stock. They didn't even sell this battery at my Walgreens. So that is when I decided to just get it off of Amazon.

I received the delivery last night and I was so happy when for the first time I could go into Amazon and see picture proof that it was left on my porch.

Now before you make fun of my nice plastic bench on my porch for packages. Yes that is a flower pot with a car battery in there. You know how Amarillo is with our wind. Yes, I came home one time to my bench in my front yard. Trust me, it doesn't move now.

I am sure that the picture proof is all depending on who delivers the package. Most of the time I get it in my regular mail and USPS doesn't take those photos. This delivery came after dark and I think it was a third-party delivery. So that may be the difference.

I just hope more deliveries come this way. It is very convenient to see where my package was left. Especially since I know that Amazon doesn't consider a package delivered unless there is a photo. That is in those big cities where everything is delivered from Amazon.

I would love for this to become a regular thing in Amarillo.
