Another Amarillo Restaurant Put Closed Sign Up Recently

The year 2024 has to be the year of the closed restaurant. We have had several close their doors. We luckily have had some of them reopen. So there is some hope. Some restaurants close for good. Others close down with the intention of opening back up.

That is the case with the latest closed restaurant. Cheddars on I40. They recently put up a sign to inform us of their closing. They closed after business on Sunday.

This sign answered the important stuff. They listed when they would close. They gave us a reopening date. Fingers crossed that this date doesn't get pushed back. They are expecting to be closed for two whole weeks.

While I was chatting with Shane, who took the photo, he gave me some more information. He had a discussion with the staff and was told that the kitchen roof was about to collapse. The story is they are getting a new roof and a new HVAC system.

Then they promise to be back open with those butter croissants. Hey, at least they are bribing us to come back. They do know that stuff works with us.

They even updated their Google listing before they closed down. They wanted us to know. Google is my go-to, as it is with a lot of people. If you missed out over the weekend then you have to wait another two weeks.

They will be back. They will be ready to serve Amarillo again. They will have those butter croissants in hand. That is really all that matters.
