Are You a Risk Taker As You Watch That Gas Gauge Near Empty?
I feel like there are two kinds of people in this world. Oh and they end up in a relationship together. Tell me I am wrong. There are the ones who love to take risks and that one who lives life by the rules.
Are You A Nervous Nelly?
Nothing is more evident than watching someone as their gas tank starts to near empty. It is the never ending battle. As I see my gas gauge show that it even has thoughts of nearing the quarter tank left I am thinking about going to get gas.
I always want to make sure I have enough gas because, in my head, you never know what could happen. What if we get snow like yesterday? What if I get stuck somewhere? I don't want to be without gas and more importantly without heat.
I guess I watch too many stories on Investigation Discovery Channel that start off that way. Someone ran out of gas and now they are dead. I am also that same person that if I am getting low on gas and I notice it I will stop on my way home from work to fill up that tank. I will never wait and think to get it when I leave for work in the morning.
Maybe that is because I leave for work so early in the morning. I don't want to be filling up my gas tank before 5am. Nope, not going to do it. This is my gas tank currently and it makes me happy:
Now this work vehicle stresses me out A LOT:
Waiting To Get Gas Stresses Some Out but Others Find it Like an Adventure
My daughter once told me on her way home from work that she needed gas. She said she would get it on her way to work the next morning. I mean there was a Toot n Totum right next door to her apartment.
Guess what happened? Her car didn't have enough gas that morning to even start. So that began a fun morning for me and her dad. We had to locate a gas can. We had to get the gas. Oh and her car had a safety feature to prevent people from stealing her gas. So we had to maneuver a screwdriver in her gas tank opening to try to pour enough gas in to get her next door.
I don't recommend waiting to get gas. Ever. You may cause others the stress like we did that morning.
So what kind of car owner are you?
