Will Popeyes on Paramount Be Able to Come Back from Recent Fire?
It has been a month since the Popeyes on Paramount here in Amarillo abruptly closed. It all started with again another fire. That fire caused a lot of damage and spoiled food. So it made sense that they were going to be closed.
They encourage anyone who stops by to visit their location on Coulter Street. At least that is what the sign outside says. So Amarillo we have to go to one of the other Popeyes because the one on Paramount is still closed.
I drove by recently and it doesn't look like much has changed. They do have a dumpster outside. So maybe some work is about to be done. It's been a month so I am not sure how big of a hurry they are in.
We had a listener reach out with an answer to the Popeyes situation.
Sunday I went to the popeyes on Soncy Road (I think they meant Coulter) and the workers there were talking saying that there was a kitchen fire at that popeyes which destroyed all of the equipment and they didn’t have it in the budget to remodel that location.
So what does that mean for the location on Paramount? Is this going to be a slow reopening? Or are they going to just let it go? We reached out to the folks at Popeyes to see what the official word is from them.
We have not heard back from them yet. I get it. It takes time to get things going after a fire. Look how long it took 575 Pizzeria to reopen on Civic Circle. It is a process. We really do hope that the location on Paramount gets going again.
