Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Bowl For Kids’ Sake Is Back In Amarillo
If you're looking for some good news today, here's something that might put a smile on your face. The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Panhandle are going to be having their Bowl For Kids' Sake this year.
Last year was rough on a lot of the organizations in our area that do a lot of good for our communities. Fundraising became difficult as people found themselves having to pinch pennies to get by during the pandemic.
In fact, I remember getting the news last year that the Bowl For Kids' Sake in-person event was going to be cancelled. This is a big fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and I hated to see that it wouldn't be happening.
Fast forward to today, and a press release landed in my inbox saying that the event was back for this year, and they have a pretty big goal. Their fundraising goal is $70,000.
The event will be held at Western Bowl, and is being put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Panhandle and CNS Pantex. It's on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
There are a few different time slots available for your team to bowl. You'll have access to food and drinks while you're bowling.
They have also added a "Virtual Bowler" option that still gives you a lot of the perks of actually attending the event in person.
By the way, according to the press release this is year number 33 for the event.
