Big Day Planned for Grand Opening of Buc-ee’s in Amarillo

I have never felt the excitement for a business coming to Amarillo like this. The pure joy, the anticipation, the celebration of Buc-ee's coming to Amarillo. This one store is bringing a lot to our city so the excitement makes sense.

First, the jobs it is bringing to our area. About two hundred jobs are new to our area thanks to Buc-ee's. Oh, and they pay well. So this is good for Amarillo. Second, just think of all of the people who will be making a stop in Amarillo. The location being on I40 is perfect. People traveling through Amarillo will stop.

A lot of people who are even remotely close to the Amarillo area will make a detour just to stop at our Buc-ee's. Long gone are our days of doing that when we are remotely close to any location in the Dallas area. This is a game-changer.

We will have one so close that we can stop any time we want. We are a little over a week from the grand opening. We have been talking about this for several months. December 16th at 6 am is when the doors officially open.

I have even seen people talk about camping out so they can be first in line. When was the last time excitement like that was in Amarillo? Of course, Amarillo has to officially welcome Buc-ee's to our city with a ribbon cutting.

The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce does a lot of Ribbon Cutting's throughout the year here in Amarillo. I think that this one will be different. I think the turnout is going to be huge.

There is going to be a special guest for the ribbon cutting but I have been sworn to secrecy. So, like I said, this is going to be a time to not miss. Heck, they have even hired a deejay to play music. So, not like any ribbon cutting I have ever gone to.

Plus it's Buc-ee's. You can grab a quick lunch to bring back to work. I heard they have some great BBQ.
