Surrounding yourself with some really smart friends in Amarillo is the way to go. Maybe some of that skill and determination will rub off on you. I mean, it could work, right? Over the past several years, I have discovered that friends of mine had a skill that they took to the next level.

A Growing Circle of Amarillo Authors

It turns out I have a few friends who could not only write but also took that talent and put it into a book. My circle of author friends in Amarillo is growing. Andrew Brandt was the first friend of mine to become an author. He has several books out there.

Then the next one I discovered who was bitten by the writing bug was King Hill. He has several books and is not stopping there. He started with "The Butterfly Decision" back in 2022 and finished the Trilogy with "Secrets: Playing with Fire".

Then I saw another friend of mine take to social media recently about releasing a book. Her pen name is C Hoffman, and I have known her forever, too. How did I not realize these friends of mine are talented like this?

I was talking to her daughter, and not only did she finish her first book, but she has it planned for a trilogy, so this is just the beginning of the story. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us.

From Setbacks to Stronger Stories

When I was discussing the book with C Hoffman and her family, I was told that she first took to writing the book, and during the process, her computer crashed and she lost everything she wrote. She was thankful that this happened, though, because starting over took her book, brought it in a new direction, and made it better.

The Release of Veil of Innocence

The book is called "Veil of Innocence," and it's available for Kindle preorder now. The author, C Hoffman, was able to hold the actual book in her hands recently:

Today, I held my book in my hands for the very first time. A Veil of Innocence is real. Tangible. Breathing. And so am I.
To everyone who supported me, encouraged me, challenged me, or just asked “How’s the book coming?”-thank you. You stood beside me. While I wrestled with every page.
And to anyone out there wondering if they can really do it- Yes you absolutely can.
Because today, I became a published author.

Where to Find the Book

We are just days away from the release date, the Kindle version and the hard copy will both be available on August 23rd. I still love holding a book in my hands when I read. So I will probably go for the hard copy book.
Hoffman's book will be available on Amazon and her website. I am thrilled to add another author friend to my circle. Even more thrilled that another friend has made a dream come true in Amarillo.
