Amarillo’s Cascades Car Wash Mystery Has New Answers
There are people in Amarillo who reach out to us when there are questions about businesses in our city. We try to have the answers when they do. If we don't, we do our best to get to the bottom of it.
Questions started coming about Cascades Car Wash on Bell Street. They seemed to be closed but customers were still being charged. Their monthly car wash charge was still coming out of their accounts even though they could not use the service. People were not happy.
They were not getting any answers. According to Google they were still open. When you drive by you can tell they are clearly not. We did notice that it looked like the plan was to get a new name. Change their identity.

The new name Pirate Falls is going to happen. That we knew. We thought maybe it was the same owner with a new name. Looks like that is not the correct answer, though. Not according to a sign that was up at the location.
I had to turn around to make sure I saw it right. Sometimes those eyes can trick you. Nope, they have new owners.
We did have someone contact us and insist that Pirate Falls is the same venture as Cascades. But anyways.
Those who had to work to get their memberships canceled probably wouldn't want to be a part of the current owner's new business. So this is some good news. A new name and new owners. It's a win-win.
So while Google still says they are open. They are not. We will keep an eye out for more transformations like the official name change. We will see how soon before they will be back open.
