Mystery Building in Amarillo: What’s Coming to I-40 & Coulter?

New places are always popping up in Amarillo. It’s refreshing to see new businesses opening constantly. This is a great thing for our city. Sometimes we know what is opening way before it opens in our city.

Other times it's a guessing game. We could see a new building being built, and then we are on the hunt to find out what it is going to be. That is the game we are playing with a new building at I-40 and Coulter on the access road.

What We Saw at I-40 & Coulter

If you have paid attention while driving by or even when you are visiting West Texas Fresh, you will notice a new container-style building being built right behind WTF. This building looks just like WTF except it is pink. We are not sure if that is the final color for this building.

We just know it is going to be a concept like WTF. A place where you order either on the app or at the drive-thru and just pick up. There is no indoor dining area. So we know something new is going to be in that location. We are just not sure what it is going to be.

We do know that there is a Sliders location coming to Amarillo. It will be in a similar building and will be called Small Sliders. We are not sure if this is the location or not.

What We Know — And What We Don’t

The question has been asked about the new location. The only hint that was given is according to the owner of West Texas Fresh, they are opening up another restaurant. Same setup, different cuisine.

So the wait and just see seems to be the answer right now. Unless we can get someone in the know to let us in on the secret.
