New Hands-On Animal Education Center Coming To Amarillo

There is one thing that seems to be true of every kid in Amarillo: they love animals. It could be furry animals or the ones that slither in a cage. Kids love to play with them and learn more.

As parents, we love to see the kids enjoying playing with the animals. We know that they are having fun but also that they are learning. It's even better when the animal that they are playing with is not necessarily one we have to take home with us.

That is why this new place opening inside Westgate Mall is a parent's dream come true. We can take them to play, pet, and learn about a wide variety of animals, and then go home to a quiet house without the extra responsibility.

The Final Countdown to the Grand Opening

That is what Critter Worx is all about. A place to play with all sorts of animals, and they are in the final couple of months getting ready to open up.

We’re so excited to announce that we’re opening Critter Worx at Westgate Mall in Amarillo!

This will be a hands-on educational animal space where families can safely meet and learn about amazing animals like snakes, lizards, spiders, tortoises, guinea pigs, and our fennec fox, Ellie

Soon you will be able to take your family to Westgate Mall to play with some fun animals. They are, though, in need of some help to get them started. This is a non-profit that takes the money they make to put back into taking care of the animals, habitat setups, food, rescue efforts, and vet expenses.

The Mission Behind Critter Worx

Critter Worx is currently seeking donations to help cross the finish line so they can open their doors to the public as soon as possible.

We’re currently in the final steps of getting ready to open in about 2 months, but we need a little community help to make it happen. We’re raising $3,000 to help build habitats, set up educational spaces, and cover opening costs.
