Amarillo Discovery Center Debuts New Exhibit With Big Celebration
When was the last time you were at the Discovery Center? I went over the weekend because my granddaughter's birthday party was there, and I love it when I show up and get to take part in new exhibits.
I also love it even more when I find out ahead of a new exhibit opening. That is what happened this weekend. I found out about a new one that is opening next week. They are celebrating the new exhibit with a party. Leonardo's Lab is coming to the Discovery Center in Amarillo:
What to Expect at the Grand Opening
The grand opening of Leonardo's Lab is happening NEXT SATURDAY!
Join us on Sept. 20 for an art-filled day of family fun as you explore Leonardo's Lab and create like the Renaissance man himself. Featuring activities from our education team and the Amarillo Museum of Art, find out how "Art" fits into STEAM by creating your own masterpieces!
Included in regular admission or DCC membership, visit DHDC.org to see sneak peeks of the new exhibit.
Food Trucks, Art Activities, and Giveaways
During the grand opening, there is going to be a lot going on. There will be food trucks in case you get hungry. There will be art activities for the family. They will also be giving away tickets to the upcoming Hoodoo Mural Festival that will be happening next weekend on September 27th.
Leonardo’s Lab Runs Through January
Just a heads up that they did announce that the Discovery Center will be closed this week, September 15th - 19th, to help get this exhibit set up and ready for the celebration. The Leonardo's Lab will be at the Discovery Center until January 9th.
So, as you are looking for things to do, make sure you join the celebration this weekend and make many returns between now and January to enjoy Leonardo's Lab.
