There is something to say about a business that has been open and teaching in Amarillo for forty-eight years. That is some longevity, and just think of how many students walked through these doors to get an education.

A 48-Year Legacy in Hair Design

It was announced last week that Exposito School of Hair Design was closing its doors on July 31st. They had become a staple on Mockingbird Lane forever. It was a place that could teach you the fine art of haircuts, styling, and manicures.

It was also a place that Amarillo could go to get these services at a great rate. These were students learning, and they had to learn somewhere and somehow. So we walked in to be the person that they learned from. The best part is that we always look our best as we get out of the chair and head out the door.

Then it was put out there on social media and their website.

A Fond Farewell After 48 Years

After proudly serving the community for 48 years, Exposito School of Hair Design is officially closing its doors as the owners step into retirement. The official date of closure is July 31, 2025.

Throughout the decades, it has been our joy to help shape careers, boost confidence, and foster lifelong friendships. We are especially grateful to the incredible staff, students, and clients who made this journey so meaningful.

Though we are closing our physical doors, our commitment to our students remains. If you need assistance with academic records or hourly transcripts, please reach out to: Janexposito2@gmail.com

Thank you for being a part of our story.

With appreciation,
The Exposito Family

Next Steps for Alumni and Clients

The story may be over at Exposito School of Hair Design, but the number of people who have learned from them and the number of people who used their services will always have stories.

It's great to see a business succeed and only close because the owners are ready for retirement. That is what happened here, and it's nothing but good news for Amarillo.
