Nighttime Magic at John Stiff Park: A New Twist on a Classic Amarillo Tradition
Oh, the signs that we are getting closer to spring in Amarillo. There is a time change. We lose an hour, but we gain more sunlight. Spring Break is fast approaching. The weather is hopefully staying consistently warmer, and more activities are planned outside.
Nothing is better than finding fun stuff for the family to do. The more outdoor time, the better. With Easter less than a month away, we get to find fun bunny activities and Easter Egg hunts.
Baskets and Beams: What to Expect at the Flashlight Hunt
Traditional Easter egg hunts will be happening all over the city. Then there will be the ones that stand out. The ones that are not as traditional. One of the most unique hunts is the one that Amarillo Parks and Recreation is hosting:
Event Logistics: Date, Time, and Location at John Stiff Park
Flashlight Egg Hunt returns Friday, March 28th, this time to the north multipurpose fields at John Stiff!
From 7:30pm-9pm, bring your flashlights, baskets, and cameras for an eventful night featuring vendors, a bounce house, games, and an egg hunt to end the night!
You will have to bring a flashlight, which is what makes this one so much fun. It will be happening in the dark. A flashlight and Easter Eggs in the dark. A hunt that the kids will remember because it's not like all of the rest.
Beyond the Hunt: Bounce Houses, Games, and Local Vendors
There will be other stuff to do, like bounce houses and games. Vendors will be set up to check out and grab a few things that the family likes. The cost is $25 per person and will end up being a night like no other.
Costumed Photo Ops: A Collaboration with Costume Castle
The staff will be dressed in costumes from Costume Castle, so keep your cameras ready for some unique photo ops! Get registered and make sure there are batteries in those flashlights. You don't want to miss this.
Where the Kids Can Let Off Some Steam - Amarillo Parks
Spring will be arriving and the kiddos need to get outdoors some more.
