This is the time of year when anything that you can do outside is better. I mean if it is not on a day that the wind is blowing over forty miles an hour that is. Getting out and getting some of that sunshine for your health is great.

Everything always seems to be better when you are outside. The sun shining instantly improves your mood. I know I feel a lot more energy in the sun. So that is why getting outside to exercise makes the most sense.

What Can You Do For Fun and Fitness This Spring?

Amarillo Parks and Recreation seems to agree. So they are hosting free classes outside. These Fitness in the Park classes are just what we need this spring to get us outside and moving.

Whether you are into yoga or even walking they have just the class to get you on your toes. Most classes are in the evening except for those Saturday morning ones. So a perfect time to get your friends and head out to Memorial Park. What a perfect place for the fun.

Do you need to relieve some stress? Oh, I know most of us do. There is a great class for that too. The best part is these are all free and they are happening weekly through June 3rd.

  • Monday: Stress Management with Leta at 5:30 pm
  • Wednesday: Yoga in the Park at 5:30 pm
  • Thursday: Beginner Boot Camp at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm
  • Saturday: LIIT in the Park at 9:00 am
  •                  Walk with Ease at 10:00 am
  •                  Rebound in the Park at 11:00 am

So pick one or two to head to during the week. Stick with it to see the best results. Notice your mood improving a ton. Exercise and the sun tend to do that to you.
