Sweet News: Got Donuts! Prepares to Open on Washington Street

Amarillo is about to get a new location for donuts. There was once a time when there were very few options to get that breakfast sweetness, but that has certainly changed over the years.

A Growing Donut Scene in Amarillo

We now have plenty of options all over town. Options are always good. Recently, we found out about Got Donuts adding a couple of locations in Amarillo. We were getting one at 15th and Washington and another one on Olsen Blvd.

Two New Locations on the Way

Those two new locations would add to the three already in the area. There is one in Canyon, one in River Road, and one on I-27. Since the announcement, we have just been waiting.

Hiring Now for Washington Street

The location on Washington Street has been built, and we have just been waiting for it to open. The Got Donuts! on Olsen is next in line to get work done and open it. It is just a matter of time for the Washington Street location, as they have started to hire.

The job has been listed on Indeed in hopes of hiring and training staff.  After that, Got Donuts! will be opening their doors, and we can get their delicious donuts. In a post about the job, I saw that they are trying to get everything ready to open, and they are shooting to be open in two weeks.

Donut Fans Can’t Wait

I am excited about these two new openings because they are close to my neighborhood. The one on Washington Street is probably the closest, and since I haven't tried Got Donuts! yet, I know I will be there pretty quickly. Plus, I have a granddaughter who, like any kid, loves her donuts.
