All New Playground Equipment At Benton Park

At the end of May, the ribbon was cut and kids were given access to the new playground equipment at Benton Park. It's the first of 14 parks to get all new playground equipment by the end of this fall.

Honestly, it looks great. Those with kids in the area around Benton Park have to be excited about the updated equipment.

One Down, Thirteen To Go

It's hard to believe it was last year that we were all following the drama surrounding the parks in Amarillo. There are a ton of them, and most were in desperate need of some TLC.

When the public filled out the surveys, the big request was for the City to replace and repair existing playground equipment. It looks like we're getting what we asked for.

The mind blowing part is that Benton Park is just the first. There are thirteen other parks in Amarillo that will also be getting some love this summer.

Even more mind blowing is that they're planning on having it all wrapped up by then end of the fall...this year.

If you want to go back and take a look at the master plan for Amarillo Parks and Rec, you can check it out here. Also, be sure to keep an eye on their social media for updates.
