When a place in Amarillo gets a makeover, we notice. Especially when the building that once sat there was a boring looking bank. Pretty plain colors and then all of a sudden life being brought into the empty location.

That is what recently happened to a building at Canyon E-Way and Washington. I remember taking the daily deposit from my employer to the Bank of America. It was a bland looking building right there on Washington. I would go to the drive-thru and then be on my way.

They moved out of that location several years ago. The logos came down and that was it. You can't help but notice now that there is a new sheriff in town. That building has since popped in Amarillo.

They have all of the colors and kept the drive-thru. Try to drive by that location and not notice the new building. You can't do it. That is the point. You will not be able to miss the fact that Head Hunters Smoke Shop is moving into that location.

They are not open yet, but the speed with which they got that building painted, it will be soon. It was like one day it was the bank and poof, or should I say puff, now it's about to be a smokeshop.
