We know you are already dreaming of that turkey dinner in Amarillo. You may have plans to go see the family, maybe they are coming to see you.  You may be skipping the traditional turkey meal all together. That's ok too.

Thanksgiving Traditions, Amarillo Style

The great thing about Amarillo is we have plenty of food options every day, including Thanksgiving. Some restaurants go all out with a traditional holiday buffet. Amarillo always shows up in droves to line up for those all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving favorites.

Restaurants That Keep the Doors Open

Other places let you sit back and relax while they bring a plateful of turkey, ham, and all the fixings right to your table. And if you’re not feeling the holiday meal at all, there are still plenty of great non-traditional options open around town.

I may choose to go and grab my dinner at one of these places. You can't go wrong with any of them. Or, I may just grab a ready meal from Market Street since it is just me. The good thing is that there are plenty of places ready to open their doors and keep the mess inside their doors.

The Perks of Dining Out for Thanksgiving

There is no bigger win then no stress, no prep work, no cooking, and no mess. The downslide is there are also no leftovers. Maybe someone will bring me a plate at work that following week.  Leftovers are the best part of Thanksgiving. How else will I be able to make all of those casseroles and soups?

Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving

You may not want to cook or have a mess at home. So don't. These restaurants are open on Thanksgiving.
