Your first job can be quite the experience. You learn how to work as a team. You learn the importance of being responsible. That first job can really shape you. It doesn't even matter where you go to work. Every business you ever work for teaches you important things.

They may teach you what kind of job you never want to work for again. They may teach you about great bosses. No matter you will learn something. Some things you are taught are ingrained into your brain and will never leave.

You may be taught something to say as a response to an everyday customer interaction and it never goes away. It can also be a telltale sign that you were once employed at this particular business.

There is one phrase I can say to you right now and you will know exactly what I am talking about. You will also know exactly what business I am talking about. It's a favorite here in Amarillo, that is for sure.

I was having a conversation via text with customer service at another business. I thanked her for her help and the end. Oh, and her response? "My pleasure!". I know that at some point she had to have worked for Chick-fil-A. I know it. You know it.

I have never heard that response until we got our first Chick-fil-A way back when here in Amarillo. Now you just know anytime you say the words, thank you, that is what you are going to hear coming out of their mouths. You also know that anytime you have a conversation and that is the response from someone they can't break it out of their vocabulary from all the shifts they worked there.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with that response. You just know where they learned it. You know they worked with that delicious chicken and waffle fries. You just know it.
