Lemonade Day – Stands Will Be Taking Over Amarillo This Weekend
Who isn't ready for a nice and tall glass of lemonade? Especially when that same glass of lemonade is helping teach so much to our kids. Lemonade Day in Amarillo is coming up this year on May 4th.
As you drive around town you will probably see a lot of lemonade stands. This is where you stop and support these young entrepreneurs. They have been working hard learning what it takes to start their own business.
This Saturday is when they get to put all of their hard work into action. There will be all kinds of different lemonades. You may even find some baked goods. There will be a lot of smiles. That is what we hope to see. Successful kids running successful lemonade stands.
I mean they put a lot of work into this day. They created a business plan. They may have had to borrow some money from family to get this business going. They had to come up with a recipe and buy the supplies. Now they are hoping all of their hard work pays off with their Lemonade Day stand.
Once their lemonade is gone and they shut their stand down they will count their money. The goal is to pay back any family members they had to borrow from out of their profit. Then what is left over they donate some, they save some, and of course, they will buy something that they have been looking forward to during this whole process.
As you drive around town on Saturday make sure you stop at a stand or two and help out these kids.
