Now that we are a step closer to getting our Buc-ee's in Amarillo to open. Really that is great news. Something we have been anticipating for a couple of years now. Before it was just a rumor and it is definitely reality now.

So what's next? I think we need to add another store that I grew to really love when visiting my daughter in the Dallas area. A place that had just about everything one would need for their home.

Do you need a certain kitchen utensil? Do you need something to store your bathroom stuff in? Do you need that perfect light for your nightstand in your room? Are you tired of going to the same old same old for the stuff in your home? I am telling you I never left this store in Dallas empty-handed.

The store that Amarillo needs desperately is HomeGoods. I have addressed this before. I have asked the powers that be at HomeGoods if there are any plans to get a location here in Amarillo.

Hi Melissa,

Although we appreciate your inquiry, HomeGoods has not announced a new store for Amarillo, Texas at this time.

Thank You,

Arielle

I just want to throw this out there. Maybe they are planning on coming here. We don't know if we got the full story from them. You don't always. So there is still hope. Oh, and I have the perfect location in mind.

The perfect place for HomeGoods in Amarillo? Think about it. A few years ago we lost Stein Mart. That building near 34th and Bell has been sitting empty. What is going in there? Are there any plans for it? I think Home Goods would be perfect for a lot of reasons.

I mean who wants to see an empty building not getting any use out of it? Nobody. The size is totally perfect. It won't need a lot of work to make this happen. Plus HomeGoods is a sister store to T.J. Maxx and we already have one of those nearby.

I only found that out when we were in a Dallas store looking for the kid's section. Which we loved. Apparently, we were one of the only ones and we were told to go look for the stuff at T.J. Maxx because that was where it was moved to. OK, good to know.

So we can improve Amarillo with HomeGoods. I am all for it and I have just the place. Let's make it happen.
