We all know the holiday season is known as "the giving season". You hear all the cliche statements like, "it's better to give than receive". That one sticks out quite a bit to me because while I agree that giving can be better than receiving, sometimes receiving is just as good as giving.

Coffee Memorial Blood Center is in desperate need of blood donations, and they're incentivizing it with their 12 Days of Christmas promotion.

Starting today, December 13th through December 24th, when you donate blood at the Coffee Memorial Blood Center donor center or any mobile blood drive, you'll be entered for a chance to win a $250 Visa gift card. They will be drawing one winner daily from all the drives around Amarillo.

As if a shot at winning some Christmas shopping money isn't enough, you won't walk away empty-handed. Aside from the feeling and knowledge that you are giving someone the greatest gift they'll receive this holiday season, you'll leave with a 2022 Christmas ornament.

And if that wasn't enough for you, you'll get to choose from a couple of different shirts to go home with. One is a holiday-themed long-sleeved number that reads "Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins" which is inspired by the holiday classic, Elf. The other is a festive shirt that says, "Be A Deer, Donate Blood". Both shirts are perfect for the holiday season.

Donating blood only takes about an hour of your time and it can save up to three lives. You must be healthy and over the age of 16 to give blood. You can donate every 56 days.
