Is Panera Bread Getting a Second Location in Amarillo?

I am not sure if you know this or not, but let me clue you in on something. Google Maps does not always get it right. I know. That can be a disappointment if you rely on them to get places. Oh, and I do.

I also worked at a company where it was my responsibility to monitor our Google listings and try to keep them as accurate as possible. It's not an easy task. At all. So I get why there are some listing issues.

Do you know where Panera Bread is located in Amarillo? Yes, they have had a love-hate relationship with Amarillo since they opened up. There have also been issues with employees getting paid so they all walked out. I can't say that I blame them. That is in the past and hopefully, things have gotten better.

Google has an issue with where exactly they are located. Don't believe me? Look for yourself. They show two listings for Panera Bread. We do not have two Panera Bread locations in Amarillo. If they are thinking about opening another location they certainly wouldn't have them so close in proximity. That just wouldn't make sense.

Google Maps shows that there is a Panera Bread on Soncy, which is correct. Oh, and also the location with all the issues. Which is probably why their listing is showing a 1.9 rating. Then they show there is a location in Town Square. There is not one located there. Oh, but hey they have a much better rating for one that does not have an actual restaurant there.

If I was going to choose I would want to go to the one with the higher three-star rating. The problem though is there is not a Panera Bread in Town Square. There just is not.

So Amarillo we are not getting a second Panera Bread location. We do not have two in Amarillo. I don't care what Google Maps says, it is not a reality.
