I don't know if it is just pure habit or the fact that I know someday I will be pleasantly surprised. The shortage of Sriracha and chili sauce has to be coming to an end soon. It just has to.

When I got to my favorite Thai restaurant they even had signs saying you are limited to only three chili sauces per order. Not per meal. Per order. The shortage is real. It has been going on for a while

It started saying there was a supply issue with Huy Fong's Sriracha and their chili sauce. The shelves have been empty. I also heard there was a disagreement between Hoy Fong and their pepper supplier. Regardless we are the ones paying the price.

We have had to try several different sauces to try to find one that compares. It has not been easy. I have found some that I like. I have found some that are just horrible. I keep looking, though, every time I go to the store hoping I will find that bottle with the green lid. It just has to come back.

Then I saw this while I was scrolling through social media.

Are we getting close to this madness being over? It was found in a store in California. At least it has been found. I am worried a bit about the reviews saying it doesn't taste the same. I do still have a bottle of each at home so I can do a taste test.

I went searching in Amarillo to see if we seemed to be any closer. I know when something happens in a bigger city; it takes a bit to trickle down to Amarillo. The social media posts that I have been seeing seem to give me some hope.

It is not in Amarillo yet. Not yet. I still am hopeful because it has been a shortage everywhere. So it is at least starting to come back. Hopefully in Amarillo soon. I am hoping for at least a Christmas miracle.
