We constantly see lists about which cities are the most dangerous, the most violent, or the most likely to make you a victim of a crime. This list, from the people at SafeWise, actually breaks down the safest cities in Texas. One of them just so happens to be in the Texas panhandle.

What Is The Safest City In Texas?

According to the fine folks over at SafeWise and their research, a majority of the safest cities are in central and north Texas. In all honesty, I never would have guessed that to be the case. Not in a million years.

Especially when you consider the supposed "safest city" in Texas.

According to their research, the safest city in Texas is Trophy Club. Yes, that is a crazy name for a town. Yes, it is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Nothing against the town. They're the safest one in the state. It just seems like an odd thing to put on the "address line" when you're filling out paperwork.

Congrats, Trophy Club.

What Is The Safest City In The Texas Panhandle?

On the list of safest cities in Texas (there are only 50 on the list), only one town in the Texas panhandle made it on the list. It's awfully lonely at the top, I suppose.

Canyon, Texas made it into the list of the 50 safest cities in Texas. They ranked number 47, which isn't bad. They could have been like the rest of us and not made it on the list at all. So, congrats to Canyon on being one of the safest cities in Texas for 2023.
