Something exciting for parents is coming to the old Stein Mart location in Amarillo. Have you heard of Rhea Lana's? Back in 2020, Stein Mart filed for bankruptcy, and all stores closed. Since then, we have all been patiently waiting for a new business to move into the Stein Mart building.

Driving through The Village at Bell the other day, I saw a sign on the building. I got super excited and zoomed over. Although it's not going to be a permanent store, it's something great if you have children.

Rhea Lana's is one of the biggest children's consignment events, and it's coming to the former Stein Mart building in Amarillo at 3315 Bell St. The event will take place Sunday, August 30-Friday, September 4.

Over 100 families will be taking part in this event, and all types of children's products will be available. You'll find gently used and upper-quality clothing, shoes, books, baby stuff, maternity clothes, and more at affordable prices.

How to Become a Rhea Lana's Consignor

Rhea Lana's is also looking for consignors. If you are interested in selling your children's items, now's the time to get involved.

Here are some of the perks of being a consignor:

  • You keep 65% of what you sell (up to 75% if you bring in referrals), and your check hits your email the same day the event wraps, no waiting around for it.
  • Entering items is done right from your phone with voice recognition, so you're not typing out descriptions by hand.
  • Free early shopping access before the public gets in.
  • Your stuff is covered if it's lost, and you can watch sales roll in live throughout the week instead of wondering how you're doing.
  • Don't want to haul unsold items back home? Rhea Lana's donates them to local nonprofits that help families in need, or you can use your earnings as store credit instead.
