The Wait Is Almost Over, Amarillo’s Ponto Gaucho Sets Opening Date
I love how fast things can change in Amarillo. It doesn't take too long for something to go from open to closed. The reverse of that is our wait may not be as long as we imagined for something to open.
When we last checked in on Ponto Gaucho, the new Brazilian steakhouse taking over the former House Divided space, they didn't have a confirmed opening date. They were still working on the inside of the restaurant, and they were starting to hire. It wasn't going to be long.

Ponto Gaucho Grand Opening Timeline
The best they could tell us was that they were shooting for the end of June or early July for the opening. They kept the opening on that timeline, so that is good news. Even better, we now have an official opening date, and it falls right at the beginning of that original timeline.
Location and Ribbon Cutting Details
The news is that they are hosting an official Amarillo Chamber Ribbon Cutting on Monday, June 29th at 4 pm. Join the community for the official ribbon cutting; it’s the perfect time to get a sneak peek and build some excitement for the feast that awaits.

The very next morning, Tuesday, June 30th, they will open their doors to serve the public for the first time. The doors will open at 11:30 am. Ponto Gaucho will officially be open. The wait is over.
It's one of those places that I really am looking forward to trying. I realize it's a little pricy, but the amount of food you can potentially enjoy is amazing. They will continue to bring cuts of meat and sides to your table until you are full. So that is on you. The food looks wonderful, and as one who loves to try new things, they have so much to offer.
What to Expect from the Menu
You can dine on different cuts of steak; they have lamb, chicken, and pork options as well. You can purchase just the unlimited trips to the salad bar or get a meal that includes it. Kids under five eat free.
Ponto Gaucho is officially joining the local dining scene, and it’s up to us to welcome them with open arms.
