Sticky Chikky Sets Grand Opening for Second Amarillo Restaurant

Back in June 2024, a new restaurant opened off VFW Road at 8700 Clinton Glenn Rd, bringing much-needed business to the area: Sticky Chikky. Sticky Chikky serves up sticky rice and chicken.

Sticky Chikky had a rough beginning; just two weeks after the restaurant opened, the owners, Jimmy and Jean Snider, were in a motorcycle accident that took Jimmy's life and left Jean severely injured. However, their son, Sticky Chikky's Jordan Snider, stepped up and took the reins of the restaurant, and through creative advertising and hard work, has brought a following to Sticky Chikky. Everyone knows to add that squeeze of lime to the sauce before dipping the rice.

In July 2025, not long after their first anniversary, we shared with you that a new location of Sticky Chikky would be opening soon in Amarillo.

When Does Sticky Chikky's New Amarillo Location Open?

Sticky Chikky is nearing the grand opening of its second restaurant. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026.

 Where Is the New Sticky Chikky Located?

The new store is located at 34th and Osage. They plan to celebrate in a big way. Starting at noon, they will open the doors and celebrate with a party. They will be giving away some great prizes.
