
Amarillo Dining Win: Tacos Garcia Welcomes Customers to Its Brand New Neighborhood Home
It seems that since the new year in Amarillo, all we have heard is bad news. We lost a Denny's and a Chicken Express in Amarillo. It's about time to turn the news around to something a little more positive.
Out With the Old: The Ross Street Closure
Back in October, that is when we first learned that Jorge's Tacos Garcia, which was on Ross Street, was closing. The good news is that they were going to move it to 1619 S Kentucky.

A Historic Location: 1619 S Kentucky at Wellington Square
That location was most recently Senor Chubby's, which didn't last long. It also housed Leal's Mexican Restaurant, and years before that is where you would go to enjoy Gardski's.
It has been sitting empty as of late. That emptiness is gone, as that is now the home of Tacos Garcia. Since they announced the move, their former building also been put up for auction. The old location closed around Christmas.
They hinted last week on their social media that the new location would be opening soon.
A fresh space for familiar favorites. Opening date to be announced very SOON, but we wanted to share a sneak peek of what we’ve been working on with you all. Thank you for your patience! So close we can almost taste it.
