Amarillo, Texas: Culinary Scene Expands with Latest Restaurant Addition

It seems like 2025 has been nothing but good news for businesses coming to Amarillo. We got a Buc-ee's at the end of last year. We are getting a long-wanted and cult-like following of Long John Silver's back in the city.

The rumors are that Bass Pro Shops is also coming to Amarillo. So nothing but good news. Sure, we have had a few closings, but nothing like the amount of new places coming. The circle of life definitely has more of a positive side for Amarillo. We will take it.

So any addition to are city we will welcome with open arms. Recently, a new place opened and was announced on social media. It will be something that we will try because it was noticed that on their menu, they have blended boba teas. Which is the way my daughter prefers it.

We have not been able to find one she likes that is blended the way she likes other than Toom's. So we are hoping that this new place delivers great boba tea. It's closer for us, so that will be a win.

What New Place Opened in Amarillo?

Recently, near City View, a new place opened named  Kop Jai Thai-Lao Street Food. It has a pretty big menu, there will definitely be something for everyone. They are open daily from 11 am - 9 pm. So, whether you are craving Pad Thai or a nice plate of chicken fried rice, Kop Jai can be your new go-to.

Kop Jai means thank you in Thai. So they are definitely ready to thank you for welcoming them into the area. Kop Jai can be found at 6010 S Western, Suite 300. Oh, and we will be trying the boba tea for sure.
