Amarillo Streets Will Be Filled with Lemonade Stands This Weekend
This weekend is going to be the perfect time to celebrate the young entrepreneurs of Amarillo. Lemonade Day is hitting the streets on Saturday. That is the day the kids of Amarillo are going to see how much they know about running a business.
They will head to several locations around Amarillo with their best refreshing lemonade and other great drinks and snacks. Their hopes are to sell out and learn a bit about being a young entrepreneur.
Lemonade Day Amarillo is Saturday, May 3
The goal of Lemonade Day is not only about teaching the art of running a business but also to save and learn to give back to the community. Young Lemonade stand owners are encouraged to spend, save, and donate.
They will pick the goal item that they want to purchase (spend), and they will also learn to save money for a future goal. The money raised will also be used to help a nonprofit that they have chosen to donate to.
Saturday, May 3rd, is the big day to get out and support the youth of Amarillo. They will have lemonade stands set up all over town. There will be some in neighborhoods and some set up outside of businesses.
You can find a whole list of lemonade stands at Lemonade Day Amarillo's official site. So as you are out running errands and going about your normal Saturday, make sure you find a Lemonade Day stand or two to show your support.
Melissa Bartlett will be out at the Sonic on Hillside near Soncy from 11 am - 1 pm. That is Lemonade Day 2025 Headquarters. She will be getting you signed up to win a Cinergy Family Funpack that includes 4 movie tickets, 4 popcorns, 4 sodas, 4 lazer tags and 4 skywalker passes.
Special thanks to the sponsors of Lemonade Day Amarillo this year: AISD Happy State Bank, Xcel Energy, Amarillo Education Foundation, WT Enterprise Center, Raising Canes, United supermarket, Sonic Drive and Amarillo Economic Development, Amarillo Sod Poodles and Townsquare Media.
