I believe this is going to be the first of many accounts coming down the pipe this week.

If you have been to any grocery store in Amarillo this week, you already know that the selves are pretty empty...If you find it hard to get to the store before peak times, this can cause problems.

Many stores and businesses around town are making preventative changes to their hours do to COVID-19.

The latest on the list of changes is United Supermarkets on 45th and Bell in Amarillo. The stores usually business operating hours are 24/7.

To help stop the spread of germs and to keep their customers safe, they will now be closing their doors at 11 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m.

If you work a regular nine-five job, this shouldn't cause a problem with your schedule.

The company will be using the time to deep clean the store and restock the shelves to ensure everyone is taken care of.

The store does plan on returning to their regular business hours but cannot confirm when.
