As we are wrapping up the year in Amarillo, we are wrapping it up on a high note. Amarillo has had a lot of great events, and many new businesses have opened. Unfortunately, we have also seen some close. Unfortunately, we have seen some close too.

The ones that we have seen open have brought a spark to our city. Earlier this year, we found out that Butterlove Dinnerhouse (formerly Butterlove Biscuits at 34th and Bell) was closing.

Amarillo Food Truck Success Stories

Since they shut their doors in August, that building has sat empty. We found out not long after that Mi Gente, who has been a successful food truck in Amarillo, was going to fill that space.

It's great when we see a local food truck expand into a bigger location. We have seen this with several food trucks in our area. Now it is time for Mi Gente to spread its wings and grow.

The Former Butterlove Dinnerhouse Space

That is exactly what they are doing. They were supposed to have a soft opening last week, but that got pushed back. It didn't get pushed back too far, fortunately, as they are officially open.

As it is just their soft opening, they are testing the waters, training staff, and finalizing the menu, ensuring everything is ready. So you can stop by now and try them out. Mi Gente is open:

Mi Gente… it’s TIME!
Soft launch starts this week from 5–9 PM at 3440 Bell St. #130. Pull up, experience the vibe, and be among the first to taste what’s coming. Thank you for your love, grace & patience as our crew trains to perfect your Mi Gente experience. See you here soon!

What to Expect During the Mi Gente Soft Opening

Just give them grace as they are just in the soft opening stage of their business. They are located in the former Butterlove building in the Pucket Plaza Shopping Center. Welcome to the neighborhood.
