Building the Fleet: Boat Construction in Room 2

The Warford Activity Center is hosting a Mini Boat Regatta on April 11.  If you have never heard of a regatta, it is basically a boat race. That is what the Amarillo Parks and Recreation is hosting coming up on April 11th.

Race Rules: Harnessing the Power of Wind and Waves

Set sail on the open waters of Warford Activity Center’s indoor pool!
Build a toy-sized boat in Multipurpose Room 2 with supplies provided, then race it across the pool using only the wind and the waves! (Participants must only propel the boat by blowing or splashing it across the water.)
April 11th | 3pm-5pm
Warford Activity Center
$10/person
This is open to kids of all ages. They will be provided life jackets if needed, but no floaties are allowed. You won't have to worry about the weather affecting this event, as it will be held in their indoor pool.

Register Early: The April 1st Deadline for Amarillo Families

It will be a lot of fun as you will get to build the boat you will use in the race right before they set off to sail. Registration ends April 1st, so don't miss out on this fun.
