Another Subway Store Goes Dark in Amarillo

We are not really sure what is going on with Subway here in Amarillo. We already saw the location at 34th and Georgia close down. Even if you check out the Google listing, it still just says "temporarily closed". It is definitely not just temporary. The location is empty.

What’s Happening at Western & Wolflin?

Recently, there have been questions about the one on Western Street. The one that is walking distance from Tascosa High School. Apparently, it was recently closed for remodeling. The Google listing still states it is temporarily closed. Is it just a temporary closure?

Are the Closures Really Temporary?

The question was asked on social media:

What happened to Subway on Western and Wolflin?
It had been closed for remodeling and just opened back up a couple of weeks ago.
Now there are signs on the door “KEEP OUT” and “NO TRESPASSING”!!! - Lisa

Community Reactions Raise More Questions

Are they closed for good? I know there are more Subways in Amarillo, but after losing the one on 34th and Georgia, this was a pretty close alternative. Now it seems we are only left with the I-40 and Washington location for now.

Driving by the location, it does look pretty closed. The signs that Lisa stated she witnessed are still there. They do want to keep people out and from trespassing. None of that seems like good news for that location.

The location on Google still says it's closed temporarily, but I am not too sure that I believe that. It seems pretty permanent at this point. Let's hope that changes.
