A home in Amarillo without a pet is a lonely home. It might be a cleaner home, but it definitely lacks the fun and chaos that a furry friend can bring to daily life. A pet is a lifelong addition to the family but one that brings a lot to the home.

If you have been thinking about adding a new family member in the furry form then you have waited until the best possible time. What better way to celebrate National Pet Day than to open your heart and expand your home?

The best part is you won't have to open your wallets, for money anyway. You will probably have to dig out that driver's license or other important home information, but money will not be needed on this one special day for adoptions.

Free Pet Adoptions on National Pet Day

Having a pet brings a lot of fun and love to the home and the City of Amarillo announced recently the best way to celebrate National Pet Day. You can bring the family on Friday, April 11th to pick out a furry friend. Make that adoption that day, which is National Pet Day and the adoption fee will be waived.

That adoption will include everything that comes with a paid adoption. Every new friend will be spayed/neutered, will be up-to-date on shots, and will be microchipped. All of this is for free.

So if you have ever dreamed of bringing a new pet home now is the time to do it. You have one day and one day only. Bring the family by and pick out that new forever friend.
