As we are approaching the weekend we start looking for things to do to enjoy our time. I'm not against having a full calendar. I mean our calendars have been very thin over the past year. So overscheduling is not really a problem these days.

Our summer months have gone by fast and before you know it will be time for back to school. That is just around the corner. I always find some shopping is called for. One of my favorite events that heads to Amarillo every so often is the Peddler's Show.

They host that at the Amarillo Civic Center. It's usually three days of hunting for that perfect gift whether it is for yourself or someone else. They really do have something for everyone. If you are looking for that one of a kind outfit they can help you. How about that perfect something that can help put that finishing touch on your home decor. Yep, you can find it within the walls of the Civic Center.

My favorite find that I bought one time is the broom. I remember I got a good deal on buying two. So one for me and one for my daughter. That bad boy is perfect for sweeping up the dog hair and even the cat litter. That was the selling point. The pet hair in the house.

So the Peddler Show will be back this weekend. I may have to stop in and get a replacement broom. Retire this one I have had for years out to the garage. This would be the perfect time to do just that.
