New Business in Amarillo? Newly Sold Land Sparks Speculation
Have you ever driven by a piece of land in Amarillo and thought about a great business that would be perfect there? It's hard sometimes not to especially when that particular piece of land is just a blank slate waiting for something to fill it.
When I would walk with a buddy around Amarillo, our walks always ended with a brisk finish down Olsen and back up to Market Street. Over the years, we have seen this one piece of land at times empty. Then, there were the moments when water made it muddy from all the rain. Then, there were the overgrown weeds. We watched as once again, it was back to an empty lot, all while a real estate sign was there waiting for a sale.
So the thoughts flooded our minds of what could fill that piece of land. What business would be perfect there? That question is going to be answered soon as it was recently announced that this piece of land on Olsen has been sold.
From FIMC Commercial Realty's recent social media post:
Just Sold!
Thrilling news Kirk Chudej negotiated another land deal with the sale of 3611 Olsen. This was a .47-acre land parcel located on Olsen Blvd Amarillo, Texas, sold to a local investor.
It is a chunk of land at the corner of Olsen Boulevard and Lometa Drive. Coconutz is on one side of the lot. Very close by is Guitars and Cadillacs, which is also on that same lot. Across the street is the newly opened Sai Indian Cuisine. So, the neighborhood is waiting for whatever new is moving in.
For right now, there is only speculation and dreams until construction begins and signs start going up. Hopefully, that is something that will start happening. It's not a bad location at all. There are apartments, businesses, and homes nearby.
I am pulling for a Jack in the Box, as I always am. I am pretty sure that will not be happening in this location but a girl can dream, right?
