Amarillo's ever-changing scenery when it comes to food places is on the move again. When we get an empty building, we love it when that doesn't last too long. We love to see something new in its place.

Recently, we had two restaurants close to merging into one. The Saigon on I-40 closed. Along with it so did the Pho 84 on 34th and Bell. They both merged together and moved into the former Lost Cajun location in Wolfin Square. We now have Saigon 84.

That left both of their former locations sitting pretty empty. The Pho 84 place on 34th and Bell is not to be empty much longer. New life is being brought in. There is a sign on the door letting us know about the new tenant.

What's in a Name? New Amarillo Restaurant Coming

If you miss having Pho 84 in that location, you may be in luck. You will not have to miss having pho close by. They are filling that location with another location that serves pho, so life is good.

Welcome, Pho King, to Amarillo

I will say that when I first saw the name, I did chuckle. I felt like a young kid afraid to get in trouble for saying something innocent. I had to check to see if this was a lingering April Fool's joke. I mean, I love the name, I do.

The name is real, and so is the place. They have a social media presence already. That is always the first sign of business being on the way.

So get ready for a new pho place coming to Amarillo. Just look for it in the former Pho 84 location. Look for a business with a funny name.
