OK, Amarillo McDonald’s You Got Me Celebrating Grimace’s Birthday

I was sitting at work late yesterday and realized I didn't eat lunch yet. It was getting dangerously close to being dinner time for me. My stomach needed something and fast. It was the growling that alerted me.

So I weighed my options. I decided to get on my McDonald's app and order something fast and pick it up. I noticed that they had some limited-time birthday celebration for Grimace. Do you remember Grimace? It seems he comes and goes. Now I know everyone technically has a birthday, I guess.

So it's time to celebrate Grimace. I thought I would order one of the celebration meals. I mean it came with a milkshake. Oh, and I could choose either a Big Mac or ten piece Chicken McNugget meal. So, yes my love for the Big Mac won out. It also came with fries of course.

You can't go to McDonald's and not get their fries. I mean I can't anyway. So that is what I got the Grimace Birthday Meal. I can't confirm or deny that I might have gotten an extra cheeseburger too. I mean it was very late in the day and I didn't eat anything. I was pretty hungry.

So my meal came in a festive birthday bag for Grimace. Good for him. He is getting his kudos right now. The milkshake was blue with whipped cream on top. To me, it tasted like blueberry. That is what I thought it was. Turns out it is wild berry, which, yes, does include blueberry. So  I wasn't totally wrong.

You can't go wrong with the rest of the meal. I will never pass up a Big Mac, ever. Even the Big Mac was celebrating. They also asked if I wanted any sauce with my order. Of course, the answer is always Hot Mustard.

I still have flashbacks to when McDonald's here in Amarillo stopped serving the Hot Mustard. I do have quite the stash at my house just in case they decide to ever do that to me again.

So to me it was worth celebrating Grimace's birthday. I did enjoy the milkshake. I will make sure I can celebrate at least one more time plus I am sure I will forget about lunch again soon. I am not proud of it but it does happen.

My only complaint? I wish they had given us a toy like in the Adult Happy Meal. That would have made the celebration even better.
