Pickle Fans in Amarillo Rejoice for All of the Choices

I don't know when the pickle obsession started in Amarillo and around the world. It just seemed like one day, we turned around, and everything was pickle-flavored, from food to snacks. There were items throughout the store in more places than the pickle aisle.

I remember when my daughter was little she would get a pickle snow cone from Cool Cats Snow Cone stand. I thought that just sounded so gross. Kids eat such gross things. Then years down the line, I was hunting around town for pickle beer. Yep, and when I found it I just thought it was the greatest. Who knew that pickle beer would become a thing and that people would love it?

Sonic has pickle fries on their menu. Several pizza places have pickle pizza. Even Jimmy John's got into the craze by using a pickle as the bread on a couple of their sandwiches.

Restaurants are not the only places with pickled-flavored items. Try taking a trip to the grocery store. There are snacks like chips and sunflower seeds. You can find pickle-flavored dip to dip your pickle-flavored chips in. I even, at one time, found pickle-flavored Slim Jims for my granddaughter. She calls them her hot dogs, and she loves them.

You can even find pickle-flavored popcorn at places like Groovy Pop. That is my popcorn of choice when I go to get some popcorn. I also at one time found pickle-flavored topping down the popcorn aisle. Even my at-home popcorn could taste like pickles.

So if you are also a fan of pickles and hunt for anything pickle-flavored then this is the greatest time to be alive. You can find many, many items everywhere to try these days. Oh, and there were not a lot of things that I didn't like, so it was quite a success.
