This is about the time of year that things start moving fast in the Amarillo area. We are almost to March, and that means warmer weather and Spring Break. We’re finally heading outside to soak up that Vitamin D we’ve all been craving.

The time is about to change, and once we spring forward, we will be outside more because it will be lighter later in the day. There is nothing we look forward to more than longer days and reasons to get outside.

1,400 Rainbow Trout: The Stocking Strategy at Southeast Park

If you are looking for a reason this weekend, then look no further than Canyon, Texas. They are hosting a fishing event. The event is hosted by Premier Painting, building on the success of their previous community gatherings. Southeast Park in Canyon is about to be stocked with 1,400 rainbow trout, making this the perfect time to cast a line.

Outdoor Spring Kickoff: Weather Forecast and Event Timing

Building on the momentum of our last event, which drew a great crowd, we are set to host an even larger gathering. Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock 1400 rainbow trout in the park a couple of days beforehand. We are optimistic about the weather forecast. Everything is Provided: Free Poles and Food for the Family

The weather is going to be beautiful this weekend, so it's a great time to get out with the family. This event is going to be at Southeast Park in Canyon, on February 28 from 11 am - 3 pm. With free food and fishing poles provided, the stage is set for a perfect family Saturday.

This is just the beginning of beautiful weather and great outdoor fun. Make sure you get out and take advantage of one of the early events of the season. There is just so much to look forward to this spring and summer.
