As of this morning, they are once again available.

See? I told you it wouldn't take long to get more of the second doses in.

Amarillo has been praised a lot recently for how well we're going about getting people the vaccine. We're efficient, and the process doesn't take an incredibly long time.

As I mentioned yesterday, the absolute best way to stay on top of the current availability of the vaccine is to check this website. The availability can change quickly, like we saw from yesterday and today. I would check their site before heading out to get your first or second dose of the vaccine

It also has a lot of other helpful information for you to read through about the vaccine, including the cutoff date for the second dose of the vaccine

.

If you have been putting off getting the vaccine, you may want to get it sooner rather than later. Temperatures are supposed to drop as we head into the later part of the week.

If you get it soon, hopefully you can avoid the frigid windchill that is being forecast for our area.

The city did point out that one of the best times to get the vaccine is in the afternoon. In a recent update they posted to social media, they pointed out that the clinic is "much less busy" in the afternoons.
