Solving Amarillo’s Problems – Where to Get Air for Tires For Free or Card?

This is one of those services everyone needs at one point or another in Amarillo. Air for your tires. It is inevitable you wake up one morning late for work. You rush out to your car and that dang low tire pressure light comes on.

You know it's because of the colder weather. Well, at least you hope it is. You still want to make sure and add more air just in case. This could be that one time that there really is something wrong. If you add air and reset it and it comes on again you will know.

You start digging for change. You had some. Where was it? You swore there was some in the cup holder. Did it fall underneath the seat? Did the kids snag it? Ugh, you never have money so you never have change. What do you do? You need air and now.

So finding an air pump at a gas station that either has free air or at least has a card reader would be quite helpful here. Otherwise, you have to go inside and buy something on your card and get change back. You have to ask for some of that change to be actual change so you can go get air. Yes, what a pain.

I didn't know there was a website that helped with finding places in the area with free air. That is quite helpful. You can find it HERE. So you can enter in your location and see if there are any free air pumps nearby.

So we needed to see if there were any locations in the Amarillo and Canyon area where you could add air to that tire. There were a couple, just a couple.

• Allsups Convenience Store - 2200 8th Ave, Canyon
• Walmart - 5730 W Amarillo Blvd

That was all I could find. So maybe that is helpful. Could there be any air pumps with card readers? I mean I know I am not alone with the fact I never have cash on me. I never have change. What are we to do?

My suggestion earlier works. Go in a store and I guess buy something to get change back. I ended up making sure I had an air compressor in my trunk for these situations. It has helped me with my own car and work vehicles on several occasions.

There actually is an air pump with a card reader. I had no idea. There is one at the Market Street United on Georgia. Are there any others we need to know about? Let us know.
