You love your plants. You've put a lot of work into those pretty little flowers lining the front of your house. What do you do when we get one of those wicked severe storms blowing through the area?

There are actually some surprisingly easy ways to protect your plants during bad weather.

Buckets Are Your New Best Friend

Seriously. Get a bucket. Invest in some buckets.

If you want to go all out, decorate them once you get home. Then, when you put them in your garden, they'll just add to the overall aesthetic.

We tend to get a lot of heavy rain and hail this time of year. That can wreak havoc on your plants.

Buy some buckets to place over your flowers to protect them. It's actually one of the most recommended ways to protect your plants online.

Buckets. Pretty simple, right? Just make sure you weight them down with something.

Wrap Your Plants Like Pretty Little Presents

Wrapping plants in a heavy fabric is a pretty good way to protect them. A lot of places recommend burlap, especially if you've got some new trees you're wanting to protect.

For trees, make sure you get the trunk.

Frost Blankets Are For More Than Frost

You can use those frost blankets for more than just protecting against frost. If you lay them across plant beds, they'll do a decent job of protecting your plants. Just make sure you leave enough room on both sides so you can weigh it down.

It will be useless if the wind blows it away.

Be Weather Aware, And Prepare

Pardon the rhyme, but its good advice. Plan ahead for those days when we're expecting bad weather and have your buckets ready.
