Since the Popeyes on Paramount is closed it looks as if the Bell location taking its place.

It has been a month since the Popeyes on Paramount here in Amarillo abruptly closed. It all started with again another fire. That fire caused a lot of damage and spoiled food. So it made sense that they were going to be closed.

When you drive around Amarillo you begin to notice a few things. We like our food and we love our coffee. I mean we have so many great places to eat. We also have plenty of places to stop and get our fill of whatever grande, heavy cream, iced, whatever we want.

We recently asked the question about the Popeyes on Paramount Blvd here in Amarillo. We wanted to know what happened to cause them to close early on Sunday. As of this story, they are still closed.

It was about this time last year when the whole chicken sandwich war started. I think competition is good. The more good restaurants we get of any kind just gives us more choices and ups the battle for the best.

They made the announcement with a video showing a Chick-fil-A sign saying "closed on Sunday" next to a Popeyes sign with the words "open on Sunday" being added.

It was fried, but it may not have been chicken.
