I know, I know, it seems the kids in Amarillo were just out for Spring Break. They were. It's just the way that Easter fell this year that they are about to be out of school again. It really has been less than two weeks since they got back to the grind.
We learned back in January that Amarillo's Westgate Mall was going to open back up their movie theater. This has been something that a lot of us are thrilled about. Finally, something brings us back to the heyday of the malls.
Have you ever had a driver cut you off on I40 here in Amarillo? Of course, you have. If not that driving experience you have witnessed bad drivers. No doubt you want to scream. You want to get road rage. It's not a smart move.
Summer is right around the corner here in Amarillo. Things are moving way too fast this year. Before you know it Spring Break will be here then Easter and it's just a downward spiral from there with school.
This school year is just flying by. It seems like the kids just went back to school from Christmas break. Before you know it Spring Break will be here. We are about a month away from that. Are you as a parent ready?

We have been watching it for awhile. The price of gas is steadily going up. I filled up my daughter's vehicle the other day at $3.49 a gallon. I watched the final price as it climbed up to $51.
So Spring Break is next week. Maybe you don't have any plans. Maybe the price of gas is keeping you around Amarillo. That is ok you can still have a Spring Break with a lot of smiles and happy memories.

Here we are starting Spring Break of 2021. Last year the students went on break and then never went back. Parents remember that time well. There was definitely a lot of uncertainty. Things have changed a lot in a year.
