Tascosa Drive-In Adds Alcohol to Amarillo Movie Nights

Since the Tascosa Drive-In in Amarillo was bought last year, there have been some changes. There is a sign up front right now. Yes, it is just asking us to pardon their mess, but it's a sign.

I know the fact that there is a big movie screen gives away what it is. It's nice, though, to see some signage. They have had some Shop and Swaps, which have been nice. They’re even looking for a Polka band. So things are happening.

New Ownership, New Changes

There was another change recently made when you go to see a movie in Amarillo. You can now order beer. I don't know if that has ever been allowed before. I don't know if they ever had their liquor license, but seeing as the same family owns the drive-in and Big Jim's Pizza, they know what it takes to get that license. This seems like a first for the drive-in.

We are here for all of the changes. According to a recent social media post, it is not just beer; soon it will be wine too:

A Fresh Experience for Amarillo Moviegoers
