It looks like a familiar building in Amarillo is getting a new tenant, and that's always something to get excited about. You've probably driven past this building dozens of times and wondered what would move in next. It's been sitting empty for a bit, but not for much longer.

A Familiar Building With a Tasty New Tenant

Over the years, this little spot has seen a lot of change; it could even have seemed cursed. As far back as I can remember, it was home to Biti Pies, a local favorite for mini desserts. After that, it briefly became In N Out, not that In-N-Out you’re thinking of, but a smaller local place. Then came Oscar’s, followed by Good Day Burritos, which served up hearty meals and loyal crowds before moving just down the street into another building.

Who is Moving In?

At first we thought it was Thai Taste by the photo that was sent in that would be moving into 4206 SW 45th Ave. It doesn’t look like that is the answer.

Apparently the sign that was up and then photo was snapped is an old sign. That must be what was under other signage there. I thought it looked pretty old, but maybe they were going for the vintage look.

The person who reached out to me to let me know Thai Taste was not getting a second location did want us to know that it will be serving Mexican food.

He was going to reach out to his dad to get more information. There is a new tenant that part hasn’t changed. It just went from being a Thai restaurant to a Mexican restaurant.

We will have more information as it is provided.
