The Comments On This Panhandle Plains Picture Are Hilarious
If you've ever been on a road trip out of Amarillo, you know it's nothing really exciting.
You drive for miles and miles and see absolutely nothing but a bunch of dead grass, windmills, and flat ground.
I stumbled upon this Reddit post from eight years ago, and just about died looking at the comments people were leaving. As Ken Jeong said in the classic Hangover movie, "It's funny because it's true".
And that's what we have here. A bunch of comments that were meant to be hilarious...yet somehow you believe they are all true.
Let's start with the original picture that was posted.
So they say a picture is worth a thousand words. You can see this picture certainly doesn't have a thousand things to talk about, but it does seem to have a thousand comments that can be made. I decided to stick with a top five that I read.
We'll start with one about barbed wire. I agree. There's nothing in this picture for miles, which means the wild West Texas wind will be at its strongest. A barbed wire fence is about the only thing you're going to find out here.
So I'll be honest, I don't know that I personally understand what they mean by this comment, but for some reason, I found it absolutely hilarious. Maybe you can help explain it to me.
Ok, this one had me in tears, and it's not even the best comment in my opinion. The reference of being able to see a week down the road had me on the floor. Most of us can only see a couple of days in front of us. Being out here though and they may be right, you can see Friday out here.
A LOT of space for your dog to run around, and you can see so far down the road with nothing in the way that you won't lose that four-legged friend if they take off running. You just may need a strong bullhorn to call them home.
Ok, the reference to Canada is funny in its own right for some reason. However, when you bring the spouse into play here, it's a classic. Eight hours away and you can still see her. I'm dead.
